Scratch and Win Case Study

Overview

The leading mobile marketing firm in Canada requested new tools to boost engagement for their client’s marketing campaigns. Given SMS's constraints, the client was in need of web applications that provided a more engaging interactive experience for end users.

Serving many of North America’s top brands, the client's SAAS marketing platform facilitates the launch and management of large scale SMS campaigns.

This app has been deployed and utilized by notable brands such as:

The Challenge

Launch a web app that targets click-through and interactivity as its goal metrics, while ensuring full compliance with the client's strict requirements.

Whitelabel Design

The application should be developed as a white-label solution capable of accommodating different logos and textual content tailored to the specific needs of various brands.

CASL Compliant

The design of the application must adhere to the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) regulations. Key requirements include obtaining prior consent from recipients before sending messages, providing a clear mechanism for recipients to unsubscribe from communications, and including valid contact information in each message.

Platform Integration

The web application should be designed for easy integration with the client's SaaS platform (IMI Mobile's JumpTXT), enabling their clients to create and customize scratch & win campaigns.

Analytics/Reporting

The application must be equipped with a robust reporting feature that accurately tracks and records user events.

The Solution

The client opted for our Scratch & Win proposal, recognizing its potential to offer brands a unique and engaging platform for dispersing offers and prizes, thereby elevating their promotional activities

By leveraging the Scratch & Win application, brands can significantly enhance user engagement and more effectively achieve campaign objectives, such as boosting subscriptions, gathering valuable data, and increasing brand awareness.

Platform Integration

IMI Mobile, currently a leader in the mobile marketing sector, offers a prominent web platform utilized by some of Canada's top brands to conduct mobile marketing campaigns. Successfully integrating the Scratch & Win feature into this platform would represent a significant enhancement, adding a dynamic new dimension to their existing offerings.

SMS Component

After customizing a Scratch & Win through the platform, they are delivered directly to the targeted audiences via SMS. This method ensures prompt and direct communication, allowing brands to leverage their existing mobile lists.

Scratch & Win

To maximize effectiveness, the final product must be compatible with a wide range of devices, including various makes and models from different years, as well as with all major browsers. Additionally, the code must be optimized to ensure rapid loading times, enhancing user experience and accessibility.

Implementation

MyBookie utilized Scratch and Win campaigns to engage previous customers, incentivizing them to make deposits on the website. This campaign attracted users by appealing to their curiosity and swiftly directing them to the deposit page, resulting in a notable increase in conversion rates.

Conclusions

In conclusion, the Scratch & Win application was successfully launched and utilized in numerous large-scale national mobile promotions, demonstrating its effectiveness and appeal. The foundational framework developed for Scratch & Win provided a robust platform that could have easily been adapted to include additional interactive features such as Spin the Wheel and Hangman. Unfortunately, this potential for diversification represents a missed opportunity.
